Q: What is my interest free credit period?

A: You are eligible for a 55-day interest free credit period, if the last month statements total outstanding paid in full on or before the due date.

Q: How much of interest/finance charges will I have to pay on my credit card outstanding?

A: The Finance Charges for all purchases and transactions including cash advances are at a preferential rate of 2.33% per month (28% per annum). Interest will be charged if the full payment is not received on the due date or if part/minimum payment is made before, on or after the due date or if full payment is made after the due date.

Q: What is the finance charge on cash withdrawals?

A: 5% of cash withdrawn or Rs. 1000 whichever is higher

Q: What is the cash withdrawal limit?

A: Cash withdrawal limit for Standard, Gold, Titanium and Platinum Credit Card types is 20% of the Card limit and for World Card type, the cash withdrawal limit is 10% of the Card limit.

Q: What would be my minimum payment amount?

A: 5% of the total outstanding amount.

Q: What will be the charge if the payment is delayed?

A: Late payment charge will be applicable as per the tariff.

Q: Can the payment due date and billing cycle associated with the credit card be changed?

A: Yes, and yes. All you need to do is call our 24-hour customer service hotline and request the same.

Q: What will be the charge if I use my credit card over the given credit limit?

A: An over limit charge will be applicable as per the tariff.

Q: How will I receive my credit card statement and how often?

A: There are 2 billing cycles on the 15th and the last day every month respectively. You can choose to have an e-statement sent to your e-mail or physical statements mailed to your postal address.

Q: What is the importance of paying on time?

A: We will review your credit limit periodically and enhance your limit if required. Frequent usage and timely repayments will make you eligible for these automatic enhancements. Infrequent or low usage of available credit limit and late payments may result in automatic reduction in your credit limit. These are notified via special messages on your statement.

Please also note the account will be categorized as “Delinquent” in the event the minimum amount is not paid by the due date. Late payments or usage of your account over the set credit limit can result in your transactions being declined. This may also have an adverse effect on your credit rating and may result in subsequent requests for limit enhancements being declined. Your credit card information is being reported to CRIB on a regular basis as per regulations. This information is shared by all banks and financial institutions

Q: What do I do if my CDB MasterCard credit card gets stolen / lost or damaged?

A: In the event that you lose your credit card, please:

  • Report the loss / damage to CDB credit Card hotline
  • Block a lost or stolen card instantaneously through the CDB iControl app
  • Request replacement through CDB credit card hotline/CDB outlet
  • If you recover your CDB MasterCard Credit Card after you have reported its loss, please do not attempt to use it
  • Please destroy the CDB MasterCard Credit Card by cutting it into several pieces and report the same to CDB
  • Replacement card will be couriered in 10 working days

Q: How do I cancel my CDB MasterCard credit Card?

A: If you want the card to be cancelled please refer the following process:

  • Submit a cancellation letter along with reason for cancellation addressed to card center manager through Branch / mail.
  • The total outstanding should be settled, if there is no outstanding due card will be cancelled in 3 working days.
