CDB Wins the Great HR Debate 2019

‘The Great HR Debate’ is the only corporate debating championship for the private and public sector professionals of Sri Lanka. This year’s championship was held for the 10th consecutive year recently at the BMICH. The event was organized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and is recognized as a platform which allows corporates of Sri Lanka to display their knowledge on Emerging Trends of HR and how corporates adapt to them. Ten teams competed in this year’s challenge and Team CDB emerged proud champions. The winning team consisted of 4 members, Laavanya Paheerathan – Manager Legal (Team Leader), Uthpala Pinnaduwahewa – Head of CRM, Ashwini Thivakaran – Junior Executive Emerging Business IT and Hasini Pathiranage – Deputy Manager HR. Laavanya Paheerathan, who shared a continuous passion for debate since childhood walked away with the award for ‘Best Debater’ at this year’s championship.
