CDB wins big at Sri Lanka Best Employer Brand Awards 2019

Stamping its mark as the pioneering force in the Non-Banking Financial Industry, Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) won two awards at Sri Lanka Best Employer Brand Awards 2019 which concluded at Taj Samudra, Colombo recently.

Organised by the World HRD Congress for the 27th consecutive year, The Sri Lanka Best Employer Brand Awards is the largest HR award ceremony in the world that recognizes and reward organisations for their groundbreaking achievements in categories such as HR Technology, Diversity and Inclusion, women leaders and much more.

CDB was bestowed with two awards; Best Employer Brand of the year 2019 and Award for Talent Management. CDB’s victory as Sri Lanka’s best employer brand is attributed to their continuous diligence in ensuring development of the best HR policies and strategies within its business. Penetrating the school and university network nationwide, CDB has provided employment opportunities for individuals from various cultural and social backgrounds, showcasing the company’s relentless dedication and commitment in developing and nurturing their employees towards becoming future leaders.

In addition, CDB was also the recipient of the prestigious accolade for Talent Management, due to its unique practices towards implementing Human Resource learning and development initiatives. All submissions for the awards were evaluated against key criteria requirements by a council of industry leading HR professionals. The brands were evaluated on Business Strategy, HR Best Practices & HR, Strategy Engagement & Empowerment, Talent Management Strategy

Asserting their presence as a leading organization in the Non-Banking Finance Industry, CDB has displayed a benchmark of excellence by winning a plethora of prestigious awards throughout the years. In 2017 CDB was awarded with the gold ‘Peoples Development Award’ at the SLITAD award ceremony. Continuing their winning streak, CDB further won the National Business Excellence Award for the Non-Banking financial sector in 2018.
